Breaking: Birmingham City Star Agrees New Deal

Blues are pleased to announce that Brad Mayo has agreed to a new contract, which will take effect on Monday, July 1.

The goalkeeper has agreed to a two-year contract, keeping him at St. Andrew’s @Knighthead Park until June 2026.

This comes a year after signing his first professional contract after finishing his two-year scholarship, and it caps off a tremendous season for the boyhood Bluenose.

He started 34 of the Under-21s’ 40 matches across all competitions, keeping nine clean sheets as Steve Spooner’s team advanced to the Professional Development League National Final.

He was also nominated to five matchday squads for the Men’s First Team and trained regularly with the senior group in 2023/24.

Speaking to BluesTV, Mayo put his elation into words.

“I am over the moon. I feel like it has been a really good year and I am happy to be staying.

“This is my home club and I am loving every minute of being here. It just felt right to keep the journey going.”

The 19-year-old has now spent a decade with Birmingham City, having joined at Under-9s and representing the club in a variety of events, including the Under-18s Premier League and FA Youth Cup in B9.

Congratulations, Brad!
