Breaking: Alabama staff continues pursuing George MacIntyre before decision

Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre is deciding between Alabama and Tennessee for college.

Despite a coaching change, the Crimson Tide remain committed to the skilled passer. After Nick Saban’s departure, new head coach Kalen DeBoer extended an offer to MacIntyre, with whom he had a close relationship.

On3’s Josh Newberg anticipated that MacIntyre would join Tennessee after Saban’s statement. His recruitment RPM has also altered substantially, as Tennessee had less than a 10% chance of landing the five-star recruit as of Tuesday, but now has a 75.1% chance of doing so.247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong projected the multi-sport athlete would join Tennessee.

The Volunteers extended an offer to the outstanding quarterback in 2022. He has also visited Tennessee about a dozen times in his early career. He adds loads of skill and a high rating to any 2025 class, as 247Sports even has him ranked 9th in the nation and 2nd amongst all quarterbacks. If the Volunteers can land MacIntyre, the sky’s the limit for the 2025 recruiting class.
