Alabama football looses a LB to the Southeastern Conference program.

The University of Alabama’s football team is losing a staff member to a Southeastern Conference institution.

Former Vanderbilt linebacker Harding Harper is returning to his alma mater.

Harper will become the Commodores’ scouting director, as reported by Matt Zenitz of 247Sports. In 2023, he served as Alabama’s director of player personnel, guiding the team to an SEC Championship and a return to the College Football Playoff.

Harper is among the coaches/staffers who Kalen DeBoer elected not to keep from the Nick Saban era.
