Braves superman makes shock return following a long injury setback

Orlando Arcia returned to the Braves lineup Thursday after missing two games in St. Louis.

Chris Sale will take the mound Thursday as the Atlanta Braves finish their road trip with a make-up game against the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox will start Chad Kuhl, a right-handed pitcher.

Orlando Arcia is back in the lineup on Thursday after missing both games of Wednesday’s doubleheader. Arcia departed Monday’s game in St. Louis due to dizziness and was examined at a nearby hospital. Sean Murphy is back behind the plate for the Braves in Thursday’s game. Adam Duvall will start in right field over Ramon Laureano.

Tommy Pham leads off for the White Sox and will play right field. Pham has a 2-for-5 career record against Sale, including a double. Luis Robert Jr. will start in centerfield and bat third. Eloy Jimenez will take over as the DH after him. Martin Maldonado gets the start behind the plate and bats eighth. Maldonado has faced Sale the most times of any player in Chicago’s lineup, going 3-for-15 with 10 strikeouts in his career.

First pitch is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET and can be seen on Bally Sports Southeast.
