Braves’ Ronald Acuna Jr. receives vital Opening Day report following knee injury worry

The Braves and their supporters are breathing a sigh of relief following Ronald Acuna Jr.’s latest injury update.

When Ronald Acuna Jr. suffered a knee injury during spring training, the Atlanta Braves organization and fans held their collective breath. While no Acuna injury is fantastic news, Braves fans may finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Following a visit to Dr. Neal ElAttrache, Acuna was diagnosed with irritation in his right knee’s meniscus. However, the outfielder is on track to continue increasing his baseball activities and is expected to be ready for Opening Day, the team said.

Acuna suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in 2021, thus any difficulties in the area will be reason for concern. Atlanta will likely keep an eye on their star outfielder to see how his knee responds. But, barring any further setbacks, the Braves appear to have the reigning MVP back in the lineup before Opening Day.

Acuna won MVP honors after hitting.337 with 41 home runs, 106 RBI, and a league-leading 73 steals. His batting average, RBI, and stolen bases all set new career highs, while his home run total tied his MLB best.

While Acuna’s 2023 season emphasized his multifaceted skill, it wasn’t quite a debut. Since joining the Braves in 2018, the outfielder has consistently performed well. Acuna has hit.292 in 673 games, with 161 home runs, 402 RBI, and 180 stolen bases. Along with MVP, he is a four-time All-Star, three-time Silver Slugger, and previous Rookie of the Year.

If the Braves are serious about winning the World Series, they will need Ronald Acuna Jr. in the lineup. After his most recent injury update, Atlanta’s dream appears to be coming true.
