Braves jubilate Spencer Strider with the biggest Spencer Strider giveaway of all time

There is no promotion that more epitomizes Spencer Strider than the one announced by the Atlanta Braves on Thursday.

One of the most disappointing aspects of the Atlanta Braves 2024 season thus far has been the lack of opportunity for fans to fully appreciate Spencer Strider’s talent. Following an explosive 2023 season. Strider’s elbow failed him, forcing him to undergo Tommy John surgery, which will keep him out until at least 2025. It’s reasonable to say that Braves supporters are eager to see him strike out everyone again soon.

Many Braves fans may not be aware that Strider is also an avid music fan. He has gone on public naming his favorite artists in specific genres, and it is quite evident that he enjoys vinyl, particularly indie rock.

The Braves are capitalizing on Strider’s love of music with their latest promotion, and we predict lines at Truist Park will form early to obtain this unique record including some of Strider’s favorite hits.

Braves’ Spencer Strider promotional vinyl giveaway is incredibly cool

The giveaway will take place at the Braves’ August 7th, 2024 game versus the Brewers and is a welcome change from the normal bobblehead/figure freebies. Furthermore, Strider’s record recommendations are fantastic, with Lunar Vacation and Trash Panda standing out. It’s strange that The Strokes weren’t featured more heavily, but there could have been some legitimate permission concerns at play here.

The vinyl will be distributed to the first 15,000 spectators at the game, and for those unfamiliar with vinyl, expect a large number of people to take advantage of this promotion. We’ve all seen the types of crowds that gather for bobbleheads, and this offer adds an entirely new fanatical collector base to the mix.

In short, the Braves did an excellent and unique giveaway, and there may not be a more Spencer Strider thing than having his club offer a vinyl giveaway featuring some of his favorite music. Next, he must develop four original tunes and get them pressed onto vinyl.
