MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Six of Bournemouth’s last eight league encounters with Burnley have resulted in losses, including the previous four.

Bournemouth

Sheffield United and the Cherries are the only two Premier League teams without a win so far this year.

Thirteen league games have gone without a win for Bournemouth, one less than the club record established in the third tier in 1974.

For the first time since July 2020, they might lose five straight top-tier games.

But in 16 Premier League home games against recently promoted teams, Bournemouth has only lost once, to Fulham in April 2019.

The Cherries have dropped 11 points from winning situations, which is a tie with Brentford, and have lost all three Premier League games in which they have started the scoring this season, including a 2-1 setback against Wolves last time out.

With just six goals in the league, Bournemouth has the lowest shooting conversion percentage (5.9%) in the Premier League this year.

Dominic Solanke has contributed to the most goals for Bournemouth this season—83 percent—of any player. He has assisted one and scored four of their six strikes.

Burnley

It is the first time Burnley has lost seven of their first nine Premier League games since the first Football League season 135 years ago.

In five of their nine league games, Vincent Kompany’s team has given up three goals or more, and they haven’t kept a clean sheet yet.

Burnley, which defeated Luton 2-1 earlier this month, had only triumphed once in their previous 13 Premier League games.

But all eight of their points in the top league have come from victories away from home.

With the exception of Luton, Burnley has the fewest shots on target in the Premier League this season, with just 24.

Their current stretch without a top-flight shutout since a run of 29 games between November 2009 and August 2014 is 14 Premier League games without a clean sheet.

In his previous six Premier League games, Lyle Foster has three goals and two assists. Compared to other Burnley players, he has at least four more goal involvements (5 total).
