Bobby Wagner is aware that the Seahawks cannot ignore Browns quarterback P.J. Walker

Bobby Wagner, a linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks, has participated in too many games and seen too many quarterbacks to doubt the ability of an underrated player to perform under pressure.

P.J. Walker of the Cleveland Browns has been able to step in for injured quarterback Deshaun Watson and lead his team to two potentially game-changing victories, despite the fact that it hasn’t exactly been pretty over the last two games.

The Browns backup could be the reason Cleveland (4-2) makes things difficult at home when they play the Seattle Seahawks (4-2) on Sunday at Lumen Field thanks to their talented defense and Walker. Wagner is aware of this possibility.

Wagner praised Walker on Wednesday, saying, “If you watch that 49ers game, he was one of the reasons why they won that game.” “His decision-making and footwork were two of the reasons they prevailed in that game. You have to respect this guy.”

Walker’s numbers haven’t really shown up yet, but two victories have made them forgettable. On October 15, Cleveland shocked the San Francisco 49ers by winning 19-17, and on Sunday, they overcame the Indianapolis Colts in a thrilling 39-38 game by rallying late.

Walker has completed 33 of 66 passes for 370 yards, no touchdowns, and three interceptions in those two games. Only six times has he gained four yards by rushes.

Walker has helped lead timely scoring drives and made some crucial plays at the right time, despite his at-best average play on paper. After leading the Browns past the rival Niners, he may even be getting the short end of the stick on Sunday against a developing Seahawks defense that probably owes him a steak dinner. Naturally, though, Seattle’s much-improved defense won’t be attempting to make friends with Walker in a game that, despite what some may believe, is a genuine toss-up.

“The more reps he gets, the more time he plays, you just see him getting better and better and growing,” Wagner stated. “We have to make sure that ends with us, but once we stop playing them, they can continue.”

The Seahawks and Browns kickoff at 1:05 p.m. PT on Sunday.
