Birmingham City’s teenage star is leaving the club this summer

The 19-year-old recently declared her decision to move on in a post on her personal X account.

Jones has spent the previous six seasons with Blues, rising through the club’s development ranks before making her first-team debut. The kid made her Barclays Women’s Super League debut for Birmingham City in 2022, coming off the bench in a 2-1 loss to Leicester City at St Andrews. Jones has been named to Birmingham City’s matchday squad on 30 occasions.

Jones joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club West Bromwich Albion on a dual-registration basis after Birmingham City failed to give him first-team minutes this season. She helped the Baggies finish in seventh place. Jones made 12 appearances for West Bromwich Albion in all competitions.

The England youth international is highly regarded, and after gaining some experience at West Bromwich Albion, she will now look to compete for the number one shirt at her next club. Jones’ plans for next season are currently unknown.
