Birmingham City have signed Brighton & Hove Albion forward Lee Geum-min on a permanent basis.

WSL Full-Time was notified of the news via an official club press release from the Blues this evening.

Lee joins Birmingham City following four seasons at Brighton and Hove Albion. The Blues paid an undisclosed price to acquire the player’s services.

The 30-year-old began her career at Seoul City before joining Gyeongju Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power. Lee came to England in 2019 and joined Manchester City. The attacker battled for minutes with The Cityzens and was loaned to Brighton & Hove Albion for the 2020/2021 season before signing permanently with the Sussex club the following summer.

Lee has 90 international caps for South Korea and 27 goals to her name.

After signing Birmingham City, Lee stated, “I’m very excited.” This is a new path for me, and I’m excited to get started.

“I worked with Amy [Merricks] at Brighton and am delighted to work with her again. I can’t wait to start playing for Birmingham City.

Lee is Birmingham City’s sixth signing during the summer transfer window. The player could make her debut in Sunday’s Barclays Women’s Championship match against Bristol City.
