With a wage bill of more than £16 million per year, Birmingham is setting their ambitions high.

They have told many of the club’s new acquisitions that their goal is to soon join the Premier League.

The Blues are taking inspiration from Ipswich Town, who earned consecutive promotions from League One and are now in the Premier League under Kieran McKenna.

They have ten points from their first four League One games under new manager Chris Davies.

A significant test against Wrexham is on the horizon later this month, followed by a flurry of four games against promotion aspirants Rotherham United, Peterborough United, Huddersfield Town, and Charlton Athletic.
