Big Ten opponent signs Ohio State football transfer target

A prospective Ohio State football transfer decided to simply transfer from one upcoming Big Ten Conference program to another.

Kamari Ramsey, a former UCLA safety, committed to USC on Thursday. The honorable mention All-Pac 12 selection also paid a visit to Washington recently.

He is the second recent guest to commit elsewhere in less than a week. Kaleb Elarms-Orr, a former Cal linebacker, committed to TCU on Wednesday.

Cameron Martinez and Kye Stokes, Ohio State’s reserve safeties, have already transferred. Josh Proctor, a 2023 starter, has completed his eligibility. Another player, Lathan Ransom, could be selected in the NFL Draft.

Coach Ryan Day stated on Wednesday that OSU would continue to bring in portal prospects, including in a window before classes begin in January. But the next time they meet Ramsey, he’ll be lined up against them.
