Before Week 14, the Colts’ chances of making the playoffs are revealed

So far this season, the Indianapolis Colts have been one of the most surprising teams in the AFC.

Many had written the team off after a slow start to the season and the loss of starting rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson to a season-ending shoulder injury.

However, entering Week 14, the Colts are 7-5 and in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Gardner Minshew has performed admirably as the starting quarterback. There have been some problems, but he has always found a way to win games. That’s all you can ask of a backup quarterback forced to play due to injury.

This season, Indianapolis has won some close games, including an overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. They haven’t won games in spectacular fashion, but wins are wins.

Colts’ Chances To Make The Playoffs, Revealed

The Colts have a good chance of making the playoffs, according to an NFL analyst from The Athletic. He revealed the probability of this happening.

According to @amock419’s playoff model, the #Colts have a 66.5 percent chance of making the playoffs.

I ranked the five remaining quarterbacks between Indianapolis and the playoffs, including #Bengals backup and former California HS phenom Jake Browning.

Looking ahead at Indianapolis’ upcoming schedule, things do not appear bleak. They face the Cincinnati Bengals this week, and backup quarterback Jake Browning is coming off a huge Week 13 performance. Following this week’s game, the Colts will play at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers, on the road against the Atlanta Falcons, at home against the Las Vegas Raiders, and at home against the Houston Texans.

Needless to say, that schedule bodes well for the Colts’ playoff chances. It’s possible that their final regular-season game against the Texans will determine who makes the playoffs.

Jonathan Taylor has been out for the last two weeks with a thumb injury. He will also miss this week’s game against the Bengals. He should be available for the Colts’ game against the Steelers.

In Indianapolis, things are looking up. Will they be able to beat the AFC’s elite teams in the playoffs, assuming they make it? That remains to be seen, but they are not a team to be underestimated.

Make sure to watch the Colts take on the Bengals this week. The game will be broadcast on CBS at 1:00 p.m. EST.
