At Birmingham City, Wayne Rooney and Tom Brady are working together

Perhaps the easiest way to break the ice between Tom Brady and Wayne Rooney when they meet in Birmingham will be for the NFL icon to remind the former Manchester United and England star of his opinions on Super Bowl XLVI in 2012.

Rooney watched the New England Patriots’ 21-17 loss to the New York Giants along with millions of other viewers.

Rooney tweeted, “Trying to watch Super Bowl final.” How is this football referred to? the same as seeing paint dry. awaiting the music and advertisements.

They are now connected with a different type of football. specifically, EFL Championship football with the goal of getting Birmingham City back into the Premier League.

There has never been a partnership between two sporting legends quite like this one, with Rooney signing a three-and-a-half-year contract to take over as manager for John Eustace.

There is no doubt that both are winners.

Rooney may look up to the boardroom and see a man who has won seven Super Bowl rings and is regarded as the all-time best player in the NFL. Rooney is Manchester United’s all-time leading goal scorer and was formerly the record scorer for England until earlier this year.

Rooney stated in his introductory press conference, “I have spoken to Tom.” He has a lot of ambition to advance our club.

It’s terrific to have him here, and the players need to see Tom Brady participating. Tom is definitely actively interested with the club, as is evident.

They share a lot of similarities, including parenting, even when they are not playing football.

Brady, that was infamously selected with pick 199 in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, got a divorce in 2022 from supermodel Gisele Bundchen. He admitted in the summer that he was seeing Bradley Cooper’s ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk.

However, both men did the majority of their talking on the field and on the pitch.

Brady, the best in his sport, announced his second retirement earlier this year.

The most throwing touchdowns, completions, yards, and victories for a quarterback are just a few of Brady’s records. The most of any player, he received the Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards five times in the Super Bowl and three times in the league.

With the record for the most games started, games won, passing touchdowns, and yards (in both a play-off and a regular-season game), Brady is also the best play-off quarterback in the sport.

The most significant of his accomplishments, of course, would be his seven Super Bowl victories, six of which he won with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The player with the most titles in league history is the one who won seven.

One similarity between Rooney and Brady, who don’t seem to have met until joining forces at Birmingham, is that both players had spent part of their careers playing for the Glazer family.

In a statement following Brady’s retirement, the Glazers, who also own Manchester United and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, said of Brady: “Tom’s impact on our franchise these past three years has been immense, and we are appreciative of the time we had with him here in Tampa Bay.”

He established a high bar that propelled our entire organization to new heights and gave rise to some of our history’s most memorable moments.
