As Norwich City gets ready for their first reunion with Leeds United boss, a message from Daniel Farke is received

When Leeds United plays Norwich City this weekend, Daniel Farke will visit Carrow Road for the first time since being fired.

Fans of Norwich City shouldn’t let Daniel Farke’s comeback cause them undue anxiety on Saturday. That’s the word from Mario Vrancic, who played at Carrow Road for current Leeds United manager Farke, and is urging fans to be more patient with David Wagner, the club’s manager at the moment.

Currently positioned just two spots and two points below this weekend’s visitors in the Championship table is Norwich. Wagner is facing some minor criticism from the fan support, though, as the Norfolk team has only won two of their last seven Championship games.

This weekend, Wagner hopes to correct the record against Leeds and Farke, who is still regarded highly at Norwich despite having guided the team out of the Championship twice.

Having worked with Wagner at Borussia Dortmund II, Vrancic is also familiar with the German, so he is pleading with fans to support the German, but he also maintains that Farke’s comeback two years after his dismissal is just another game.

Regarding Farke’s return to the team, Vrancic told the BBC, “You have to deal with it.” “In football these days, it’s common.”

“All you have to do is have faith in Wagner.” I had fun playing beneath him. We ranked eighth or ninth on the table prior to the winter break. We won 19 of the 21 games we played in the second half of the season, earning us a promotion.

All you have to do is have patience. He’s a terrific manager, in my opinion. His track record supports that.

Vrancic, who joined Norwich from Darmstadt in 2017, soon after the German’s arrival, played for four seasons under Farke. With ten goals in 123 games, the Bosnian was a major contributor to the team’s elevation to the Premier League in 2018–19.

In Vrancic’s final season in East Anglia, Norwich duplicated the trick, returning to the top division at the first attempt. The midfielder, who now plays for FK Sarajevo, has some happy recollections of his time spent with the now-Leeds manager.

He went on, “Daniel is a great manager, a great guy, and a human being.” “I’m very happy he got the chance to work for a big club like Leeds United.”
