Arsenal star given green light to West Ham following decision

After being offered Raheem Sterling, the jet-setting Arsenal star has made a come-and-get-me plea to West Ham United.

Julen Lopetegui, head coach of  West Ham, and Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta are among a group of great managers from Spain’s Basque region.

They all have a similar view of how football should be played: on the attack.

If there were any concerns about Lopetegui’s desire to play the exciting football that West Ham fans love, the club’s first signing of the summer has put that to rest.

The Hammers have signed Brazilian teenage offensive midfield star Luis Guilherme.

And they’re not finished there.

While there are major differences between West Ham and Arsenal, Hammers fans want to play like their London rivals.

West Ham have a long history of playing high-quality, imaginative offensive football.

Hammers legends Ron Greenwood and John Lyall were ahead of their time in this respect.

West Ham plan to go on the attack

Arteta, the Arsenal manager, is now regarded as a football innovator.

West Ham recruited Guilherme because he is flexible and can play in all attacking positions.

However, the Irons are still linked with a slew of other diverse, quick, skilled, and powerful offensive talents who are still in their prime.

West Ham is reportedly interested in wingers and strikers Matias Soule, Jota Silva, and Jhon Arias.

Hammers News reported on Friday that Chelsea had even offered Lopetegui Raheem Sterling.

The former Manchester City star will turn 30 next season. So he may not be a good fit for West Ham’s new recruitment approach.

However, one Gunners bit-part player does. And he may have just changed technical director Tim Steidten’s transfer plans.

Nelson sends come and get me plea to West Ham

Because Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson has delivered a come and get me plea to West Ham following a major decision.

Lines of communication have already been created between West Ham and Arsenal following Declan Rice’s £105 million signing in the summer.

West Ham have previously been connected with Nelson, a fast winger.

This includes the January transfer window, when Arsenal reportedly offered to loan the 24-year-old to West Ham.

The difficulty was that the Elephant and Castle star wanted to stay at the Emirates and compete for his place.

He appears to have changed his mind after giving his situation at Arsenal some serious thought.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Nelson has informed Arsenal that he intends to evaluate his transfer options this summer.

Gunners bit-part player perfect for Hammers

According to the article, Arsenal would be looking for roughly £20 million for Nelson, including add-ons.

That is entirely in line with West Ham’s summer budget. Furthermore, Nelson would fulfill the Hammers’ homegrown player requirement.

According to reports, West Ham is Nelson’s biggest club, with Palace, Fulham, and Forest competing.

Ornstein also claims that West Ham’s interest for Nelson in January has made him reconsider his future, citing a lack of game time since.

However, he claims that the problem in the previous window was Arsenal’s refusal to complete a trade.

“Nelson’s game time was limited last season, and Arsenal rejected bids for him in January due to competing for the Premier League and Champions League…

“He made his senior debut in 2017 but was restricted to just one Premier League start last season and a further 14 appearances from the bench as Arsenal finished second in the league to Manchester City.”

That is a tremendous waste of a promising young talent.

Nelson’s pace is frightening, and he should already be a regular in the Premier League.

West Ham are building a young, exciting side and Nelson fits Steidten’s recruitment strategy perfectly.

It’s time for him to fly the Arsenal nest and show what he can do at the London Stadium.
