Arkansas offensive lineman enters the transfer portal

According to Arkansas source Easton May on Twitter, Paris Patterson joined the transfer portal Wednesday, reducing the offensive line’s depth.

Patterson is the sixth Hog to go through the transfer portal since the spring window opened.

Patterson was a three-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, however he was formerly ranked in the Top 250 by Rivals. He was the tenth-ranked recruit in the 2023 class and the second-ranked offensive guard after Luke Brown.

His time at Arkansas hasn’t gone as he expected. The 350-pounder played little last season, eventually redshirting, and was passed over on the depth chart by transfers and younger players throughout spring practice. As a result, Patterson’s snap count decreased this spring, and he spent the most of his time with the third team.

Patterson joins quarterback Jacolby Criswell, running back Isaiah Augustave, and punter Max Fletcher as players who have announced their resignation following the spring game. Offensive lineman Andrew Chamblee and defensive end Jashaud Stewart have both officially entered the portal, but they left the club before spring practice.

Arkansas now has seven scholarships available after adding Florida State transfer Rodney Hill and former Jaxon State linebacker Larry Worth to the roster.
