Arkansas Injury Update before their game vs FIU

Sam Pittman provided updates on a number of Razorbacks’ injuries on Wednesday.

Several Arkansas players missed last week’s 48-10 loss to Auburn due to injuries. Patrick Kutas was injured in the game versus Florida, so he was unable to play. Both Jashaud Stewart and Jaheim Singletary did not dress due to persistent injuries. Jaylon Braxton, a rookie cornerback, left the game after hurting his shoulder. A number of Razorbacks are doubtful for the FIU matchup this week.

Braxton, who has had a fantastic rookie season, played well against Auburn as well, intercepting three passes and breaking them up. He has been working on non-contact drills this week, but he still has to make a lot of development before Saturday.

Sam Pittman, the head coach of Arkansas, stated, “Braxton has practiced and been in green. I don’t know if he’ll be healthy enough to play or not.” “Stewart and Braxton are probably the ones who are the farthest away from each other.” Though I don’t think [Stewart] will be ready to play, I think Braxton might have a chance.

Stewart has suffered from a number of muscular problems this season, missing five games. Given his continued recuperation, it appears unlikely that the defensive lineman will participate this week.

Pittman stated, “Jashaud probably won’t play.” “I detest it. What a lovely child. A young Arkansasian. adores the Hines. It really feels like there are persistent injuries all at once. It has been groin pulls, hamstring strains, and similar ailments. However, something similar happened a year ago as well. We’ve been working on his flexibility and other related things, but we know that he’s stressed out right now. We’ve tried working with some massage therapists, stretching, and other things, but it hasn’t worked out well for him.

After spraining his ankle, Kutas began the Razorbacks’ 39-36 victory over Florida in Week 10. Going ahead, his situation is highly uncertain.

Pittman stated, “Obviously, I’m hoping he’ll be available.” Honestly speaking, I have a sense that he most likely won’t. We’re going to hold onto that hope because he’s moving so much better than he was last week. It’s clear that he is finishing his recovery work. During practice, he is moving and performing some indy. He’s come a long way this week compared to last, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

In the pregame warm-up before the Auburn game, Singletary trod on a receiver’s foot. His situation is likewise uncertain and might not clear up till kickoff.

Pittman said, “Singletary has practiced as well.” He’s practiced, but I don’t think he’s quite at his best yet. He’ll most likely make more decisions throughout the game based on his warm-up routine and other factors.

ESPNU will broadcast the kickoff from Fayetteville, which is set for 6:30 p.m. (CST). Against the Panthers, the Razorbacks are 29.5-point favorites.
