In October of last year, the Division I Council authorized revisions to the NCAA Transfer Portal for basketball, shortening the waiting period from 60 to 45 consecutive days. According to the NCAA, 61% of athletes accessed the portal within the first 30 days.

Eric Musselman was officially announced as USC’s head basketball coach on April 5, following five seasons at Fayetteville. Just five days later, the Razorbacks publicly unveiled John Calipari as their new head coach.

Calipari has a completely blank slate to work with in his first season at Arkansas, since all 13 players from last year’s roster are either out of eligibility, decommitted, in the transfer portal, or declaring for the NBA Draft.
