Arizona Cardinals Place Ex-Utah DL On IR List

Leki Fotu, a former defensive lineman for the Utah Utes, was placed on injured reserve, the Arizona Cardinals announced on Tuesday.

In week 11, Fotu suffered a hand injury during the 21-16 loss to the Houston Texans.

Fotu’s injury will keep him out of the game for at least four.

He might be able to make a comeback for Arizona’s next two games, but the Cardinals will probably shut him down for the season.

With a 2-9 record, Arizona is the worst club in the NFC West and the 15th team overall in the NFC.

The Cardinals’ final games of the season are against the Rams, Steelers, 49ers, Bears, Eagles, and Seahawks.

Fotu recorded 2.5 sacks and 25 total tackles in 2023, including 15 solo stops.

Before hitting the field again, Fotu might require surgery to fix the minor break in his hand.
