The Kansas City Chiefs have received their latest Super Bowl LVIII rings, signaling the end of spring and the beginning of summer.

The players will see their Super Bowl ring ceremony as an annual ritual, coupled with the president’s visit to the White House the week before.

For some players, these were their third rings with the Kansas City Chiefs, with additional wins coming in 2019 and 2022.

Their victory has created a possibility for a three-peat, and the culture is driven to be the first team in NFL history to do so.

However, there are still questions that need to be answered on both sides of the ball before they take to the field on the opening day.

Smith’s one-year contract has expired, and with another ring in his collection, he has returned to the free agent pool.

During an offseason interview, General Manager Brett Veach claimed that they were more focused on their younger prospects.

Patrick Mahomes’ blindside remains unprotected at left tackle, and Andy Reid has outlined their offseason strategy.

During a mandated minicamp interview, Reid said, “We’re going to end up playing the five best guys. We’ll see how it all works out.

As the sophomore season approaches, Wanya Morris and newcomer Kingsley Suamataia will compete for the starting position.

Nonetheless, the BYU project will have to deliver a solid performance for Andy Reid, whose colleague had only one season in the NFL.

Furthermore, Reid has intimated that competition extends beyond Morris and Suamataia, with numerous guys receiving reps at left tackle.

Morris was forced to start four games in place of Smith in 2023 due to an injury sustained by the current free agent.
