Along with a message to Sheffield Wednesday supporters, Darren Moore shares Huddersfield Town’s concerns.

After the Terriers’ goalless draw away to the Owls, the away end booed the team, in contrast to the home crowd’s earlier ovation for Moore.

Darren Moore, the manager of the Terriers, said he understands the frustration of the away fans who watched their team go without a win for the sixth game in a row, including four under the newly appointed manager.

After leaving the Owls in the summer, Moore made his Hillsborough comeback with Huddersfield Town. Neither team was able to break the score, but Moore felt his team could count themselves unlucky to have a late Kian Harratt goal disallowed for a foul on Tom Lees in the build-up.

After 11 games, the goalless draw places Town in 19th place, just three points ahead of Queens Park Rangers, who will visit the John Smith’s Stadium in a fortnight for the first game following the international break.

When asked about the brief outburst of jeers that came from the away section after the game, Moore responded, “I think it’s fair. Sheffield Wednesday are currently last in the league without a victory.

“We want to win every single game, and I share that desire with the fans. Every game we approach, we aim to win, and we want to win it. But that’s the nature of football: you don’t always get your way since the other team is also striving to win.

“I’m hoping what the fans saw today shows that we had the greater chance of the two. It’s simply the last ball contact that’s lacking. We’ll continue to work hard and strive for victory since our goal is winning games.

The Owls faithful expressed their gratitude for the manager who guided them to promotion back from League One via the play-offs last season by giving Moore a rousing welcome when he arrived at pitchside before the game.

“I’m grateful to them all for giving that warm response, it’s very lovely, and I get the chance to thank them all here”, Moore remarked. Now that this match has concluded, we can put an end to that. Nevertheless, I want to congratulate everyone and wish them luck for the rest of the season.
