Alabama’s star speaks on J.J. McCarthy ahead of the Rose Bowl
In the 2024 College Football Playoff Semifinals, Alabama will face the Michigan Wolverines. On New Year’s Day 2024, the Crimson Tide and the Wolverines will meet in the Rose Bowl Game. It’s been a long time since the two powerhouse programs met, and they’ll do so on college football’s greatest platform.
This week, Alabama’s Dallas Turner praised Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy. Turner took questions from the media this week and had a lot to say about McCarthy.
Turner commented on On3, “He stands out in the way he runs that offense.” He’s the offensive’s commanding officer. He double-checks that they know what they’re doing. He’s a good quarterback and a good leader in general.”
McCarthy finished the season with a perfect 13-0 record despite not playing entire games at times. McCarthy didn’t have to finish many of the Wolverines’ early season games this season since they were so dominant at times.
He’s demonstrated his ability to make plays in the past, and the onus will be on him again in Pasadena. The top-ranked Wolverines seek to win their first CFP game and advance to the CFP Championship Game. That matchup is scheduled for January 8, a week after the Rose Bowl. Who finds their way to H-Town will have to wait and see.
