Jackson chose USC over Alabama, where he played high school football with former Alabama standout Bryce Young. He even renewed his recruitment after committing to USC early, giving Alabama fans and supporters high hopes. However, he chose to remain loyal to the Trojans.
Jackson played in 18 games during his time at USC, making 35 tackles and four pass breakups. He was highly sought-after, ranked as the No. 5 overall prospect and top cornerback according to the On3 industry rankings. Hailing from Santa Ana, California, Jackson joined USC as a five-star prospect in the class of 2022.
Michigan was mentioned as a possible destination for Jackson during his initial recruiting out of high school. However, it looked that his preference was for Alabama, since he was seen wearing Alabama gear during his official recruitment trip.
Jackson joins a team of players vying for another College Football National Championship as they face Michigan in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. His addition to the lineup in 2024 will provide the Crimson Tide with even more defensive depth as they try to repeat as national champs under Nick Saban.
