Alabama wide receiver announces NFL Draft choice

Jermaine Burton of Alabama stated on social media on Saturday that he will enter the 2024 NFL Draft.

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for allowing me the opportunities that I have received and will continue to receive in my life,” Burton said in a statement.

“This has been an unforgettable experience for the University of Alabama, and I appreciate how memorable you’ve all made it for me.”

“Thank you for putting your faith in me, coaches.” A particular thanks to Coach Wiggins; you’ve helped me grow so much as a player and as a person, and I’ll be eternally thankful.

“To my teammates, this brotherhood will be with us for the rest of our lives, and I know so many of you are destined for great things.”

“Finally, I’d like to thank my family for accompanying me on this journey over the years and supporting me in every decision I’ve made.”

“With that said, I’m excited to announce that I will be entering the 2024 NFL Draft.”

Burton joined Alabama in 2022 after spending the previous two seasons at Georgia. He was an immediate contribution to the Crimson Tide’s passing attack and was the top target for quarterback Jalen Hurts this season.

In 2023, the Calabasas, California native appeared in 13 games, accumulating 798 yards on 39 catches, eight touchdowns, and averaging 20.5 yards per reception.
