Alabama veteran LB gives warning to those who departed the Crimson Tide through NCAA transfer site

Kalen DeBoer has the opportunity to coach two enormous defensive leaders who are still dedicated to Alabama football.

Deontae Lawson, a native of Mobile, Alabama, is among the top.

He joined the Crimson Tide as a four-star linebacker in the 2021 recruiting class. Lawson missed a few games due to injury in 2023, but he finished second in overall team tackles (67). He recorded 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, four quarterback hurries, and four pass breakups. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder led Alabama’s defense to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a spot in the College Football League.

Lawson and the Tide came close to defeating Michigan in the Rose Bowl and competing for the College Football Playoff National Championship. Lawson is eager to return to the postseason and finish the job, but he has a message for the guys who opted to depart the Tide through the NCAA transfer portal.

He anchors a unit that’s locked in to Coach DeBoer and his staff.

Lawson is ready to go war and get back to winning national titles.
