Alabama supporters react to the appointment of  former Michigan coach…

The Rose Bowl is in three weeks, but Nick Saban is already making decisions.

To help him prepare for the Wolverines, he hired a former Michigan defensive assistant coach.

George Helow, 36, worked with Jim Harbaugh in 2021 and 2022, capturing two Big Ten Conference championships.

He provides a lot of enthusiasm to the Crimson Tide as well as knowledge of Michigan’s scheme. Alabama supporters perceive Saban’s action as a crucial chess move, especially because he is vying for his seventh national championship.

Helow’s new role with the Tide has not been revealed, but he replaces Coleman Hutzler, who left to become defensive coordinator at Mississippi State. Helow’s help will be crucial in preparing Alabama to shut down whatever Michigan throws at it on New Year’s Day.

Tide fans reacted to the move of hiring Helow via social media.
