Alabama RB preparing for an explosive sophomore season

Alabama football has some running backs throughout the Nick Saban era who took great delight in their offseason conditioning before defeating opponents on the field.

Fans remember Trent Richardson and Derrick Henry for their commitment to the weight room. Najee Harris worked with a trainer to enhance his power, speed, agility, versatility, and hurdling abilities. Justice Haynes, a former five-star recruit, begins his sophomore season at the University of Alabama. He has a unique blend of former Alabama standouts in his game, including Harris, Bo Scarbrough, and Josh Jacobs. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound receiver has excellent contact balance, vision, cutback skills, speed, and versatility. Last year in spring practice, the native Georgian rushed for 168 yards and two scores on 25 carries.

Haynes had a few pretty impressive runs in the Rose Bowl versus Michigan, totaling 31 yards on four carries. He took on a leadership position this spring, since more will be expected of him.

Haynes is happy about the one-two punch he and Jam Miller will provide out of the backfield, but he also understands that he is causing problems for defenses.

He’s returned to work with Marquell Beckwith of Beckwith Sports Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.

Beckwith has been instrumental in making Haynes stand out throughout his time as a backup. The two have practiced reading and reacting, front side/back side reads with vertical leap cuts, hop cuts, spinning, and forceful sticking while remaining in control.

Haynes wants to be the most complete player in college football at his position.

Crimson Tide fans can’t wait to watch him do elite things in the fall.
