Alabama quarterback explains how the Crimson Tide defeated Georgia in the SEC Championship Game

The final score of this year’s Southeastern Conference Championship Game did not reflect the dominance displayed on the field by the University of Alabama against Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Alabama won 27-24, but its offensive and defensive lines dominated the game.

Georgia gained 78 yards on the ground and converted four third-down conversions on 12 attempts. Alabama held Georgia scoreless in the second quarter and sacked Carson Beck twice. The Crimson Tide should have had four interceptions, but their defensive backs were unable to complete plays. Jalen Milroe had two touchdown passes and was named SEC Championship Game Most Valuable Player.

He has his team in the College Football Playoff, but he explained the moment Alabama won the SEC Championship Game over Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs in Atlanta, Ga., on McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning on Friday.

“I am big on body language and looking in the opponent’s eyes,” he said. “They (Georgia) appeared defeated, as if they no longer desired.” Georgia didn’t believe me or our team when we said it was going to be a 60-minute game.”

Georgia scored the game’s first touchdown, but the Tide settled in and fought back.

Alabama’s defense adapted, and its offense delivered when it mattered most. The Let All Naysayers Know “LANK” mentality has propelled Alabama into the playoffs. Milroe is now ready to lead Alabama’s offense to the College Football Playoff National Championship.
