Alabama HC Not Concerned About Sign-Stealing From…

The Michigan football program has been under a sharp light all season.

The Wolverines have been and continue to be investigated in connection with a sign-stealing case involving staffer Connor Stalions. Jim Harbaugh, Michigan’s head coach, has coached just seven of the Wolverines’ 13 games this season. When the Wolverines face Alabama in the College Football Playoff semifinal at the Rose Bowl, he will be in command.

Is Nick Saban concerned about the uproar? It does not appear to be the case. “Not really,” Saban responded. “We always change things up a little bit, but we’re focused on what we have to do to try to get good execution and we’re not really concerned about any of that stuff.”

What is Saban concerned with?

“The first three days of practice we’ve really tried to focus on fundamentals,” he remarked. “I believe that everyone needs to practice with a plan and a sense of purpose.” Everyone must reinvest in conditioning, fundamental methods, execution discipline, blocking, and tackling. All of this will translate into improved game performance. And I believe it is difficult to transfer the momentum from the season into the game when there is nearly a month between games.”

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our players.” It’s a fantastic test for them. However, when you participate in these games, you are not owed anything. When you’re in the playoffs, it’s like a one-game season, so we have to give it everything we’ve got. And everyone is working hard to make that happen.”
