A supporter of Birmingham City criticizes the “atrocious” selection of Wayne Rooney and wishes that it would be unsuccessful

The firing of John Eustace, according to a Birmingham supporter on talkSPORT, is “disgusting” and “atrocious.”

Eustace’s dismissal baffled one Birmingham City supporter, who couldn’t believe it was done while he had them in a playoff position. As he stated that Eustace had been walked over, he continued, “John is too nice to be in football in my opinion.”

Later on in the conversation, this Birmingham supporter adds that he kind of hopes Wayne Rooney loses and that the choice backfires on the Birmingham board because of how Eustace was treated.

Over the course of his 19-year playing career, Eustace made 422 appearances for clubs like Coventry, Stoke, Watford, and Derby County.

The 43-year-old has managed Kidderminster Harriers, served as the assistant and interim manager at QPR, served as the assistant for the Republic of Ireland, and of course, managed Birmingham City since entering the managerial field.

Eustace will undoubtedly receive interest from other clubs and return to management in the near future after taking Birmingham City into the playoff spots at the start of this season with five victories, three draws, and only three losses.
