A review of the Colts’ advantageous remaining schedule

The Indianapolis Colts are 5-5 overall and hold the eighth seed in the AFC heading into their Week 11 bye.

Even though they are currently not in the AFC Playoff Picture, they have one of the easiest remaining schedules in the NFL.

Colts Remaining Schedule:

  • Week 12: Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5)
  • Week 13: @ Tennessee Titans (3-6)
  • Week 14: @ Cincinnati Bengals (5-5)
  • Week 15: Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3)
  • Week 16: @ Atlanta Falcons (4-6)
  • Week 17: Vs. Las Vegas Raiders (5-5)
  • Week 18: Vs. Houston Texans (5-4) 

Of the Colts’ seven remaining teams, only two (the Texans and the Steelers) are in the AFC East and are currently in the playoff picture. The opposing quarterbacks the Colts are scheduled to play against will also factor into their schedule.

Expected QB Matchups:

  • Week 12: Baker Mayfield
  • Week 13: Will Levis
  • Week 14: Jake Browning
  • Week 15: Kenny Pickett
  • Week 16: Taylor Heinicke/Desmond Ridder
  • Week 17: Aidan O’Connell
  • Week 18: CJ Stroud

They previously defeated rookie CJ Stroud 31–20 in Week 2, making him the only quarterback left on their schedule who stands out as one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. Heading into their bye, the Colts defense has been the driving force behind their two-game winning streak. They are coming off back-to-back outstanding performances. and will now be crucial to the team’s attempt to qualify for the postseason.
