A defensive lineman from Alabama enters the transfer portal

For Alabama football, the transfer portal day has already been hectic.

According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, defensive lineman Isaiah Hastings has reportedly logged into the site, following wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks, who did the same on Thursday.

This season, Hastings did not see action for the Crimson Tide on the field. During his debut season in Tuscaloosa, the redshirt freshman faced ULM in one game.

He was a four-star recruit from Clearwater Academy International in Florida who came to Alabama in the class of 2022. Canada is the birthplace of Hastings.

Since Alabama defeated Georgia in the SEC championship game on Saturday, there have apparently been four admissions through the transfer portal. The gateway went live on Monday and will remain open for thirty days, ending on January 2.

With a game against Michigan in the Rose Bowl on January 1, the Crimson Tide still have at least one game remaining. In the event that Alabama prevails, it will play in the College Football Playoff national title game against either Texas or Washington.

After the season finale, Alabama players will have an additional five days to access the transfer portal.

It was claimed that quarterback Tyler Buchner was returning to play lacrosse at his alma mater, Notre Dame. Thaiu Jones-Bell, a wide receiver for Alabama who took a medical year off from the field this season, also announced on social media that he was using the transfer portal.
