Birmingham City has a few players on the treatment table as they return to League One action on Saturday.
Birmingham City were boosted by the return of Luke Harris at the weekend, when the on-loan midfielder made his first start in two months in the FA Cup victory against Sutton.
The 19-year-old played 66 minutes at the VBS Community Stadium and was as near as anyone to increasing Blues’ lead. They eventually won 1-0 to advance to the second round, where they will face Blackpool.
However, the next game is a home fixture against Northampton Town on Saturday at St Andrew’s @Knighthead Park, where Chris Davies hopes to have at least one more injured player back in contention.
Here’s the latest on the club’s injured players.
Lee Buchanan
Injury : Calf
Latest : The left-back hasn’t managed to play yet this season. He is back in ‘live training’.
Davies said : “He’s had few setbacks from a few injuries, he’s been out for a long while, so I think the thing with Lee is that he needs to build a base of fitness to really allow him to cope with the demands of training and games.”
Krystian Bielik
Injury : Ankle
Latest : The centre-back was taken off at half time of the loss at Charlton on October 5.
Davies said : “Krystian is a possible for this weekend {Sutton United), but he obviously needs to build up a bit of training as well in his legs. But he’s back on the grass with the team, so that’s positive.”
Scott Wright
Injury : Unknown
Latest : The Scot picked up a knock in the build up to the Lincoln game on October 19 and hasn’t played since.
Davies said : “Scott and Emil are both at very similar stages with their injuries, so they’ve still we won’t see them before the international break.”
Emil Hansson
Injury : Unknown
Latest : Hansson was taken off at Sincil Bank and then again just 20 minutes into the win over Bolton on October 22.
Davies said : “Scott and Emil are both at very similar stages with their injuries, so they’ve still we won’t see them before the international break.”
