Michigan reporter is optimistic about Jim Harbaugh’s future
For years, Jim Harbaugh has been linked to the majority of NFL head coaching positions.
Many people were surprised when the seasoned coach departed the league to return to his alma mater.
And just as it appeared like he was set to return to the pros, Michigan insider John U. Bacon forced the fans to put a stop to that.
“After talking with people who know more than I do, I believe Jim Harbaugh genuinely wants to stay at Michigan,” he stated.
After talking with people who know more than I do, I believe Jim Harbaugh genuinely wants to stay at Michigan. He just “wants to know he’s wanted,” several told me, and it’s not about the number. (He gave back $1.5M to department employees to compensate for Covid cutbacks.)

According to Bacon, many close to the matter believe Harbaugh genuinely wants to remain with the Wolverines.
According to the story, he only ‘wants to know they want him there,’ and it’s not about money.
Jim Harbaugh is obsessed with Michigan; it’s in his blood, so this makes sense.
He played there, and despite some early struggles, he has brought them back to the summit of the college football landscape.
The Wolverines want to keep him, and they’re working hard to persuade him to sign a new deal despite NFL interest from the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Washington Commanders.
Harbaugh was punished last season, and some believe he could face another punishment if he decides to stay.
However, it appears that none of this matters at this point.
His heart may be in Ann Arbor, and it may be more difficult than thought to get him back to the NFL.
