Edwards leaves a message for Town fans after departure
|Kyle Edwards has praised Ipswich Town for their ‘continued support’ since his departure.
The winger, who came from West Brom in 2021, appeared in 63 games for the club, helping them achieve promotion from League One.
However, with Nathan Broadhead and Marcus Harness ahead of him in the pecking order, he had little options. He was loaned out to Oxford United, but his time there was cut short so he could recover from a hamstring injury.
Manager Des Buckingham stated that he would remain at the club for rehabilitation, while Ipswich confirmed that an arrangement had been struck to terminate his contract.
Edwards has recently taken to X (commonly known as Twitter) to express his gratitude to everyone affiliated with Town as he prepares to move on in his career.
My time at Ipswich has come to an end and just wanted to thank everyone involved with the club for making Ipswich a home. Thank you to the Staff, Players and the Fans for the continued support for the past few years. Wish Ipswich all the best in the future
