Alabama football: Four-star recruit gives the ideal reaction after committing

Alabama football’s newest recruit is ecstatic about joining the Crimson Tide.

Alabama’s football squad had a difficult week coming up to Saturday. The Crimson Tide got things started on Monday with a College Football Playoff semifinal showdown against Michigan, which they lost in overtime. Since then, Alabama has lost its wide receiver coach to Texas A&M, its starting center to Ohio State, and other key players to the gateway or the NFL. It’s been a difficult week, but the Crimson Tide finally received some good news in the recruiting world on Saturday.

Alabama football recruitment is always rated well, and the same is true for the 2024 recruiting class. Four-star cornerback Zay Mincey has confirmed his commitment to the Crimson Tide, and he is a significant addition to that class.

“BREAKING: Elite 2024 CB Zay Mincey tells me he has Committed to Alabama!” Hayes Fawcett posted on Twitter. “The 6’3 193 CB from Daytona Beach, FL chose the Crimson Tide over Florida State, Florida, & others.”

Alabama fans will appreciate Zay Mincey’s message for Fawcett to add in his commitment post.

“Ion give a piss bout nun but the Tide,” Mincey said.

That quote is in reference to a recent video that took place at the SEC Championship game between Alabama and Georgia. Druski, a famous social media figure who makes comical content, posed as an Alabama fan at the game, and he used that quote in his video that went viral. After the Crimson Tide lost in the Rose Bowl, Michigan players used the quote in a video that they posted after the game to trash talk the Crimson Tide.

This is a fantastic acquisition for Alabama, and it couldn’t have happened at a better moment. According to 247 Sports, Mincey is a four-star recruit and the #71 player in the 2024 class, the #6 CB, and the #12 player in the state of Florida. He is a student at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. He will remain in SEC land to play for the Crimson Tide, despite the fact that most SEC colleges attempted to recruit him.

Alabama now boasts the country’s second-best recruiting class. The end of the season did not go as planned for the Crimson Tide, but this season demonstrated that no matter what Nick Saban has, he will prepare them ready to contend for championships. Mincey is an excellent addition to this class and one of its many talented players.
