The Dawgs’ 2023 season has come to an end, and with it, some NFL Draft declarations for those who are eligible.

Xavier Truss, the senior offensive lineman for the Georgia Bulldogs, has openly declared his intention to enter the 2024 NFL Draft. The 6′ 7″ 320-pound senior from Rhode Island has officially decided to forego the NFL Draft this year and return to Athens for his sixth year. Truss was an important element for the Dawgs as they pursued their second consecutive national championship.

When he arrived in Athens in 2019, he didn’t see much play until his redshirt freshman year. Truss earned a starting spot in the 2022 season and was chosen to the All-SEC second team in 2023.

This is significant for the Dawgs, as their depth at the tackle position may be limited for the 2024 season. With players announcing their intentions in the next days and weeks, here is a continuous update of roster changes as they occur.
