According to information cited by Football Insider, Aston Villa is the front-runner to sign Norwich forward Jonathan Rowe during the upcoming transfer windows.

Rowe’s development at Carrow Road is reportedly being watched by a number of Premier League teams, including Villa and Crystal Palace.

The 20-year-old scored in England’s Under-21 team’s 9-1 thumping of Serbia last week (12 October), making his debut for the team.

He made his first debut for England in any age category during that match.

Rowe was given a spot in the Young Lions lineup after scoring seven goals in 13 games played in all competitions so far this year.

During those games, he has taken on a variety of positions, including offensive midfield and both sides.

Following their most recent relegation from the Premier League in 2022, Norwich is currently ranked seventh in the Championship league and will be attempting to gain promotion.

After rising through the ranks in Norfolk, Rowe has a contract with Carrow Road that runs through June 2025.

In January 2022, the assailant signed his most recent extension.

For Norwich, he has already made 13 Premier League appearances, all of which came during the 2021–22 season.

On Monday, October 16, when England’s Under-21 team plays Ukraine in a qualifier for the European Championships, Rowe is once more on the bench.

Aston Villa, who is currently competing in the Europa Conference League, is currently ranked fifth in the Premier League, while Crystal Palace is in ninth place.
