Dan Gilbert, founder and chairman of Rocket Companies and owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, commented on the disputed ref call that lost the Detroit Lions a victory against the Dallas Cowboys on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday.
On Saturday night, Jared Goff completed a pass to left tackle Taylor Decker, putting the Lions ahead of Dallas 21-20 with seconds remaining. Then a flag appeared, pronouncing Decker ineligible since he had not properly reported his eligibility. The Lions were defeated 20-19.
Decker, Coach Dan Campbell, and other Lions insist Decker notified the referee. They claim there is video evidence that Decker did so.
The NFL is looking into the situation.
