Former Ohio State football linebacker joins Big 12…
|Reid Carrico decided to continue his college career after leaving Ohio State football.
On Tuesday night, Carrico revealed his transfer commitment to West Virginia. On December 4, the third-year linebacker submitted his name to the NCAA transfer portal.
Carrico, a top-100 prospect out of Ironton, joined the 2021 signing class. A year later, defensive coordinator Jim Knowles implemented a new system that dropped the team’s starting linebacker count from three to two. This increased competition in the room, and Carrico was never able to carve out a two-deep role.
