Up until Saturday, neither defender had been fined this season. Nonetheless, teammate DK Metcalf is relieved that he won’t be subject to this consequence despite incurring four financial penalties this season.
Seattle Seahawks Defenders Fined for Play Last Thursday
Halfway through the third quarter of Week 13, Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams will each have to pay more than $10,000 for their behavior. Diggs’ punishment is primarily play-related, whereas Adams’ is related to his actions after the whistle. Diggs made helmet-to-helmet contact with offensive playmaker Jake Ferguson of the Dallas Cowboys by leading helmet first.
By berating Ferguson, Adams fanned the flames and forced a quick reunion between the two squads to defuse the situation. Following the play, Ferguson will also be fined for his part.
