Post-Snap Reads 12/1: In the Cowboys game, the Seahawks’ offense ignites while their defense collapses
|You can still hear the murmurs, “Where are the WMDs?” from the George W. Bush Expressway and “Where is our D?” from Seattle Seahawks supporters everywhere.
We may have just witnessed one of the best games of the 2023 NFL season, but we are also confused, frustrated, and restrained. Two teams, whose fan bases would be content to lose with two equally ridiculous backup quarterbacks and leave their starting quarterbacks in the proverbial dust. There were some well-known plots, well-known enemies, and some clumsy performances by the Boys and the Hawks.
Another challenge is the short week, which almost always gives the offense the upper hand. Yes, it was a loss. However, if it’s okay with you, my brother, my nephew, and I had the honor of watching the game from the southernmost standing-only area of Jerry’s World.
It was strange to watch DK’s Q1 TD and to see the defense appear to be somewhat ineffective at key junctures. The Cowboys’ supporters proved to be as devoted as a 32-ounce tub of Bubba’s banana pudding, the loss was difficult but preventable, and the human experience was unparalleled and unwavering (yeehaw). That is life. I appreciate you being here.
