Injury Update: Returned to Town by Injured Player for Additional Evaluation
|According to the Football Association of Wales, Blues wide receiver Wes Burns has returned to Town for “further assessment” of the injury he sustained during Wales’ 4-0 victory against Gibraltar in Wrexham last night.
Burns, who was earning his sixth cap, stumbled after winning a header and was replaced in the 15th minute after receiving treatment on the field before leaving the field with his shirt acting as a makeshift sling on his left arm.
Burns, 28, has been hurt while traveling with Wales for the past two months; in Cardiff’s scoreless friendly match with South Korea, the winger strained his hamstring.
Nathan Broadhead, a fellow Town member who scored against the Gibraltarians, also earned his sixth cap.
