|Quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs showed a great deal of respect for the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. With his love for Philadelphia, the NFL great will undoubtedly make Eagles headlines.
Mahomes was questioned about some of the offensive shortcomings of the club after their loss to the Eagles. When the Eagles acknowledged, “That’s a great football team,” Mahomes thought about it.
The quarterback for the Chiefs went on to say that the Eagles proved they were the best team in the NFC. The Eagles defense shut out Mahomes and the Chiefs offense in the second half after trailing by 10 points at the break.
In a postgame press conference on November 20, 2023, Mahomes stated of the Eagles, “I mean, that’s a great football team.” We so, in my opinion, performed a fantastic game. We obviously struggled offensively in the second half, but the defense held strong against a top squad. We were also placing them in a lot of unpleasant circumstances.
