The Boston Bruins have recalled forward Patrick Brown from the Providence Bruins, the team announced Thursday.

Brown, who made his season debut with the Bruins Thursday against the Dallas Stars, was scoreless but has seven points in 12 games with Providence.

Brown has appeared in 150 NHL regular season games for the Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Vegas Golden Knights, Philadelphia Flyers, and Ottawa Senators over the course of 10 seasons. In that time, he has scored 25 points.

Brown, who is serving as captain in Providence this season, has played a vital role for the squad thus far and has been called up. While it is unclear how long Brown will be with the Bruins, he has previously been a consistent NHL depth player and there is no reason why he can’t be the same in Boston.
