The Boston Bruins are off to one of their worst starts to a season in recent memory, and head coach Jim Montgomery has no answers for the media.
This season has been up and down for the Boston Bruins, as they’ve had some success but haven’t been able to consistently deliver the performances we’ve come to expect from them. At 7-7-2, Boston has not performed as expected this season, and many believe Head Coach Jim Montgomery’s seat is becoming increasingly hot.
His most recent post-game press conference, in which he was asked how he might find a solution to his team’s problems, will undoubtedly undermine faith in the front office.
‘Talk about it,’ said Montgomery. ‘We’ll look at why and what we’re doing sports science-wise. Right now, I don’t have an answer for you.’
Furthermore, when questioned why his message was not reaching the team, he threw it back to the media, demonstrating a serious lack of accountability and simply no remedy from the Head Coach.
‘That’s up for you guys to figure that out and come up with a reason,’ said Montgomery. ‘We just weren’t good enough. You guys can write what you guys think is the malaise on the team and what’s going on. We’re just not playing good enough. Thanks.’
