Former Indianapolis Colts offensive guard Matt Ulrich, who helped the team win the Super Bowl in 2006, has died.

He was 41 years old.

Colts owner Jim Irsay revealed Ulrich’s death over social media.

Irsay’s post reads, “I am heartbroken to hear of the passing of Matt Ulrich.” “Matt was with us for only two seasons, but he left an impression on many. He was a fantastic guy, and I understand he was a wonderful father. He also won the Super Bowl. My prayers are with his family.”

Ulrich, who played for Northwestern University, joined the Colts in 2005 and appeared in ten games. He won Super Bowl XLI with Peyton Manning in 2006.

Ulrich founded a fitness company after retiring. In the aftermath of his death, a fundraising has been put up to help his family, raising approximately $30,000 in the last 18 hours.

The reason of death has not yet been published.
