Spalding United has recruited former Derby County striker Bart Cybulski for an undisclosed price from National League North club King’s Lynn.

In an unexpected move, the Southern League Premier Division Central club completed the transfer to include him in the squad that faced Lowestoft Town Friday night.

Cybulski only joined King’s Lynn in August of last year, following his release from the Rams at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Spalding confirmed the transfer on Twitter, saying: “Spalding United FC has completed the signing of centre forward Bartosz Cybulski for an undisclosed fee from National League North side Kings Lynn.”

“The 21-year-old striker, who stands six feet six inches, was a member of the AFC Fylde squad that won promotion from the National League North.”

“Cybulski who has been called up by Poland at U19 level also played under former England and Manchester United player Wayne Rooney at Derby County where he made his league debut as a substitute in a 1-0 win against Peterborough United.”

Cybulski was on loan at AFC Fylde and Solihull Moors during the 2022/23 season, and he appeared for Derby’s first team in EFL Trophy fixtures.

He made seven Derby appearances in all, breaking into the main team under former boss Wayne Rooney.
