Nottingham Forest will have to rapidly come down from their high today, with unbeaten Brighton and Hove Albion next on the schedule.

Forest travel to the AMEX Stadium hoping to maintain their unbeaten streak against a team that has been mainly excellent this season.

Callum Hudson-Odoi won the match last week, but Nuno Espirito Santo understands that today will be another tough test for his team.

Forest have another away game to look forward to today, and given Liverpool’s exploits, they have nothing to fear on the journey south.

Tim Sherwood predicts Brighton vs Nottingham Forest result

With their victory over Liverpool at Anfield last week, the Reds undoubtedly gave some pundits pause.

With Brighton only managing a draw against Ipswich last weekend, some believe a fascinating game is on the cards Saturday.

Sherwood believes Forest will get something on their travels today, hoping to share the spoils against Brighton.

He commented on Sky Sports News (21/09; 13:35): “I believe it will be a draw. It’s unusual for me to be undecided, but I believe this game will end in a draw. I believe Brighton will have the most of possession, although Forest will provide threats on the counterattack. So for me, it’s a 1-1 draw.”

Nottingham Forest record vs Brighton

It’s fair to say that Forest hasn’t had much success against the Seagulls over the years, with only two wins at the AMEX Stadium.

Forest last triumphed at the new stadium in 2015, when Dougie Freedman led the team to a spectacular victory in one of his first games as manager.

Danny Collins, Henri Lansbury, and Ben Osborn scored, ensuring a successful day for the Reds down south.

The only other win occurred in 2013, when Forest rallied from behind to win 3-1, with Lansbury and Darius Henderson both scoring.

Since Forest’s promotion back to the Premier League in 2022, they’ve had a mixed bag of results versus Brighton.

Forest drew 0-0 away and won 3-1 at home in 2022/23, although the Seagulls triumphed 3-2 on Trentside and the Reds were beaten 1-0 away the previous season.

In total, the two sides have met 41 times, with Forest winning 17 of them, 11 drawing, and the Seagulls winning 13.

It will be fascinating to see how the 42nd meeting proceeds this afternoon.
